Welcome to the Dog Health Tips Site!

I have had the pleasure and the heart ache of being blessed with pets in my life since childhood.  The first pet I remember was a canary - Jerry the Canary - to be exact.  The only time he sang was when one of us was crying about something or other.  Next came tropical fish of various sorts, then a cat who lived to be 17 years old, and for the last 19 years, dogs.

Not to take away from the different experiences each type of pet brings into our lives, but personally, I have found dogs to be the most interactive of the pets to which I have been exposed.

My first dog was a Cairn Terrier who lived to be 15 years old.  She had several health problems during her life and I spend some time researching alternative treatments for dog illnesses when conventional treatments could not help her.

I currently have two Cairn Terriers - lively, mischevious, opinionated, loving, stubborn and just a little too smart for their own good!  They are both healthy dogs and I am doing my best to keep them that way.

I found some very interesting information on dog health which I am in the process of assembling for your perusal.  I offer it as information only, as something to think about, not as the final answer.  I urge you to always consult your vet before persuing any course of action that will affect your dog's health.

With that said, please look through the articles and books relating to dog health issues that we have to offer.  You might find something that will be just what you are looking for.
